2024 Development Charges Background Study

Oxford County and seven local area municipalities are working together to update their development charge background studies to prepare to pass new development charge by-laws. As part of this process, the municipalities are seeking feedback about the current development charges, policies, exemptions, by-law administration, and other matters.

Sanitary sewer maintenance is scheduled in Central West Tillsonburg (July 31 to August 31). Affected neighbourhoods include Baldwin Place, Bridlepath, Hickory Hills, Reynolds Way, Trottier, Victoria Wood, Westmount, Whispering Pines and Woodhaven.

Outdoor watering will be permitted every other day beginning July 12

Oxford County has announced that outdoor watering will be permitted every other day in Tillsonburg beginning July 12. Favourable weather patterns and strong efforts by Tillsonburg residents to reduce their outdoor water use have led to more stable groundwater supply conditions. 

Tillsonburg rolls out bike patrol program for by-law enforcement

Have you seen someone new cycling through your neighbourhood? It could be a member of Tillsonburg’s new bike patrol. The bike patrol program, which rolled out in May, equips Town of Tillsonburg by-law enforcement officers with iGO pedal-assisted e-bikes to facilitate more easier monitoring of parks and trails.

Southwestern Public Health issues heat warning for July 4-5

Southwestern Publi­c Health (SWPH) has issued a heat warning for July 4-5. During a heat warning, residents should take precautions to protect themselves and the most vulnerable from heat-related illness. The Tillsonburg Town Centre is a cooling centre.
