Sanitary Sewer Flushing
The Town of Tillsonburg is continuing its sanitary sewer maintenance program.
August 23- September 30
Sanitary sewer flushing will occur in areas south of Concession Street West and west of Rolph Street. Affected neighbourhoods include Baldwin Place, Bridle Path, Edgewood Dr., Hickory Hills, Reynolds Way, Trottier, Victoria Wood, Westmount, Whispering Pines and Woodhaven.
The work will be performed on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. High traffic areas may be flushed after 7:00 p.m. to ensure safety for contractors and residents.
During this work, a bubbling and/or vacuum effect may be noticed in your drains and/or toilets. If you notice this occurring, close all toilet seats and cover any floor drains during the flushing period. In order to prevent sewer gases from migrating into the home, it is important to refill all plumbing traps by running the water in your sinks and floor drains after the work is complete.
