Electrical Safety Awareness Survey

Tillsonburg Hydro is currently running Electrical Safety Awareness Survey (ESA). The Ontario Energy Board requires all local distribution companies to conduct this customer survey every two years. The survey is being conducted by Advanis and will run from January 8 - March 8, 2024.

Winter Recycling and Waste Collection Reminders

For the safety of your waste collector, never put your waste on top of a snowbank. Please place it on level ground.

Position all waste collection containers within 1 metre, or no more than 3 feet, from the roadway.

Keep sidewalks clear of waste containers for the safety of pedestrians and out of the way of any maintenance equipment, like plows.

Names shortlisted for new Northcrest subdivision parks

The Town of Tillsonburg has narrowed down the list of names under consideration for two new parks in the Northcrest subdivision. The following names are under still consideration and are now being presented to the public for comment:

• Doug Wilson Park
• Perry Gosso Park
• Weston Family Park

Additional Residential Units Open House

Are you thinking about building an Additional Residential Unit (ARU) on your property?

With the recent changes enacted under Bill 23, a maximum of two ARUs are permitted on each lot that has a single detached, semi-detached or townhouse dwelling.

Volunteer Achievement Awards

The Tillsonburg Volunteer Achievement Awards recognize individuals who make significant, sustained contributions to the community as a volunteer. Volunteer Achievement Awards are given for unpaid contributions in the following four categories:

• Sports, recreation and education
• Arts, culture and heritage
• Seniors and youth
• Civic

Nominations can be submitted at any time. Four recipients will be selected each year.
