PUBLIC NOTICE

Intent to declare surplus: Portion of Moose Street Right-of-Way

Municipally owned westerly portion of Moose Street, legally described Part 2, Plan 41R-1403, more or less.   

The purpose of this notice is to advise that the Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg intends to declare a portion of the municipally owned Moose Street Right-of-Way as surplus to the needs of the Town at the September 9, 2024 Council Meeting. 

The Subject Property is described municipally as the Westerly portion of Moose Street, and legally described Part 2, Plan 41R-1403, more or less. 

The Alley lands are approximately 20 metres (66 feet) wide and 80 metres (265 feet) long, more or less.

Interested parties will be required to enter into a legal agreement subject to approval by the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg.  This notice is being provided in accordance with the Tillsonburg Land Disposition Bylaw 2021-031 and Section 270 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001.    

Members of the public are asked to bring forward any questions or concerns prior to or at the Monday, September 9, 2024 Council Meeting.

If declared surplus by Town Council, the deadline for registering interest or any concerns with respect to the proposed sale of this property is 4 PM on Monday, September 30, 2024.
